Keep Your Fingers Crossed!  Our work is being recognized…

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

The PUG Awards, that is, the People’s Choice Awards for Urban Design, is an awards program that recognizes the best new architectural elements in Toronto. It’s open to the public to vote for the residential, commercial and institutional developments that you love in our city. Their primary objective is to focus attention on new developments in an effort to celebrate architecture. And guess what? We’ve been nominated! Our 9T6 Condo, a 17-story condominium residence in the heart of the City’s Art District, has been nominated for a PUG and we couldn’t be happier!

Contemporary materials were used to establish the building’s identity within a diverse residential and commercial urban context. Its privately landscaped terrace is based on a modern plaza with many level changes, signifying different uses for each space.  This modern, innovative approach to architecture is an example of how we bring our vision to reality and help to improve our cities, our communities, our world – one project at a time.
Voting has been ongoing throughout the month of May and is now closed, so we hope you were counted! Winners will be announced shortly. onespace is honoured to have been nominated for such a prestigious award and we wish to thank you for your continued support. We’re changing the face of architecture and interior design with our commitment to our environment and our people. This nomination validates that what we do is making a difference.

By the way, check out this article that was published in The Star on April 18th about our PUG-nominated 9T6 condo!

Hello!

Friday, April 10th, 2009

Recently, we launched our new brand – onespace unlimited. Why? Because we realized that the way we live our lives today is different from when Atkins Group was first established in 1964. Our awareness of the new ways of working, living, learning, designing and building indicated change was necessary, so that’s what we did!

We’re still one team working together, though. We’re still the architects, interior designers, marketers, engineers, trades, clients and interests that provide these services across the residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and retail sectors worldwide. We’re just greener! We’re more aware of our environment than ever and we’re very excited to incorporate sustainability into our everyday lives, as well as of those we serve. We want to change the face of architecture with our devotion to the environment.

With this blog, we plan to keep you updated on our initiatives and successes, future projects and growth. To keep you involved in what we’re doing to better our communities, our environment and each other. If you require further information about anything posted or have questions or ideas you’d like to see written about, please contact me.

Think, dream, share, interact, envision, achieve and have fun with us!
