onespace team strengthens commitment to environmental sustainability with addition of another LEED® AP designation

Vaughan, ON – October 17, 2009 – onespace is pleased to announce that it has further strengthened the firm’s environmental commitment with the addition of another LEED® AP designation: Dennis Chang, architectural technologist.

"At onespace, we are building on our commitment to environmental sustainability," said Rod Rowbotham, president. "We are thrilled that Dennis has obtained his LEED®AP designation, which will help to ensure our leadership in bringing green buildings to life."

"onespace works with its clients to ensure we are meeting all of their needs. Not just from a design and structural aspect, but from an environmental commitment as well," said Rowbotham. "Helping our clients ensure they are environmentally sustainable is key and we want to ensure that we are credible environmental leaders through our actions and participation in the LEED® designation program."

onespace currently has two team members with LEED®AP designations. Dennis joins teammate Roy Turner, principal and manager, client services, in sharing this designation. LEED® is a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. It is a point-based rating system, in which points are given to buildings for using a LEED® Accredited Professional. The Canadian Green Building Council is responsible for the LEED® rating system for buildings in Canada.

"A thorough knowledge of LEED-based environmental construction is a significant factor in onespace’s 3D renderings," says Chang. "They are more than just visual aesthetics."
